small group bible studies

Whether you are looking for a continuous Sunday morning class or a limited time Bible study, we have plenty of options for you to choose from.

Bible studies & small groups

Opportunities to connect to God and develop close friendships in the process!  We offer small group studies that help you grow, connect or reconnect to God and to others.

Bill Ruins the Parables Why would Bill want to ruin the parables?  Well actually he’s not ruining them, but hopefully after this study you won’t read them the same again. Wednesdays at 5 p.m.  beginning January 15, CLC Room 211.  Each week, we will examine a different parable taking into account: The Gospel writer’s theological emphasis; historical context; cultural context; the scriptural passages that inform the parable and the implications the parable has for the followers of Christ both in the first century and today.  Hopefully, this will provide participants with a deeper understanding and increased love of the parables of Christ.

Sr. Pastor’s Bible Study – Wednesday, January 22, at 5 p.m. in CLC 203, Bro. David Moseley will begin a new study based on Eugene Peterson’s book, A Long Obedience in the Same Direction. Becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ isn’t a momentary decision – it is a life long journey. While singular moments inform the journey, Discipleship is a beautiful mosaic that is continually being updated and renews day by day. This study will examine such themes as repentance, providence, security, perseverance, humility, etc. This is a 17 week Bible Study and all are invited. Books are $20 (includes tax and shipping.) Everyone is invited.

With All Your Heart Join Rev Dale Chance, Tuesday, February 4 - March 10th, at 10 a.m. in Christian Life Center #201 as he leads us through Sinai and Israel, a region that is still largely desert but where God's people learned how to depend on God. In Exodus, God warned Israel to remember him when they left the dry desert and reached the fertile fields of the Promised Land. But in this Bible Study, you’ll discover how quickly they forgot God and began to rely on themselves. Find out what it means to remember the Lord in your own life on this one-of-a-kind spiritual pilgrimage. Videos and teachings by Rev Chance will help you experience the land and customs of ancient Israel. No previous Bible knowledge needed for the study!
