The Child Development Center is a part of our Church’s ministry to children and their families.

Our mission is for children to explore, discover, learn, and grow in faith. We do this by:

• Helping them see themselves as unique persons of worth
• Providing an atmosphere of trust which enables the child to develop a trust

in God and others

• Giving opportunities for choices
• Showing love, forgiveness, discipline, and acceptance of all children regardless of race, creed, religion, and/or sex
• Enhancing their understanding of God’s Word
• Helping them see and appreciate the beauty of God’s creation

First United Methodist Church and the Child Development Center are aware that each child is a person with unique needs and interests. We believe children need a loving, caring atmosphere that encourages growth, exploration, development, and interaction with others and their environment. Our goal is to offer, in cooperation with the parents/guardians, quality care and creative programs that are developmentally appropriate for children.
